The idea is for every lunch someone buys, Eat My Lunch supply a lunch for a child in need. There is a group of professionals who make the lunches that are bought, and the lunches for the school children are made by volunteers – like the New Zealand AI team on the 5th March 2019! The children each got a sandwich (tuna and coleslaw), a mandarin and a chocolate chip cookie. It was a very humbling experience, it’s hard to believe so many children in Auckland alone would otherwise go without any food if it was not for this service! Overall, the New Zealand team made 1,982 lunches for the children.
